Born in Belgium, Jean-Marie Michalski now 45 years old, grew up in a town called Perwez as the single child of Jean Michalski a now famous mouth artist painter.  His father lost his arms in an childhood accident at the age of 10.
Ever since he was a child, Jean-Marie was surrounded by art due to his father situation.
When Jean-Marie was 10 years old, he won a month long trip around the world, for taking care of his single father.  When he got home his father asked to see the photos from his trip.  Jean-Marie responded "I didn't take any."  Regretting not taking photos Jean-Marie started taking pictures all the time first with a 120 camera.  A good friend of his dad was a photographer and ran a photography club in their town Perwez, Belgium.  This is when Jean-Marie learned the basics of photography and learned to develop film in a dark room.  Jean-Marie seems to always have a camera in his hand. Some time driving his family a little crazy. He now uses digital SLR's

Jean-Marie aka Belgium has moved from Belgium and lived in North San Diego County since May 1, 1981. He is now married to a lovely wife and as 2 daughters.
