Born in Belgium, Jean-Marie Michalski now 43 years old, grew up in a town called Perwez as the single child of Jean Michalski a now famous mouth artist painter. His father lost his arms in an childhood accident at the age of 10.
Ever since he was a child, Jean-Marie was surrounded by art due to his father situation.
When Jean-Marie was 10 years old, he won a month long trip around the world, for taking care of his single father. When he got home his father asked to see the photos from his trip. Jean-Marie responded "I didn't take any." Regretting not taking photos Jean-Marie started taking pictures all the time first with a 110 camera. A good friend of his dad was a photographer and ran a photography club in their town Perwez, Belgium. This is when Jean-Marie learned the basics of photography and learned to develop film in a dark room. Jean-Marie seems to always have a camera in his hand. Some time driving his family a little crazy. He now uses digital SLR's
For years people have commented and complimented his unique style. For his talent to catch those special moments and include an artistic flare. He has done work for Ghetto Choppers Customs, Old Cruser Magazine, and Many Local Bands, his dauther soft ball team, and many more.
Jean-Marie aka Belgium has moved from Belgium and lived in North San Diego County since May 1, 1981. He's now married with a lovely wife and 2 daughters. Nobody owes you a living.
